Terms and Conditions 

Individuals

FREE TOURS are intended for the enjoyment of small groups (less than ten people) and individual travelers. The tours operate on a gratuity-only model, with no upfront cost to access the tour. While it is not necessary for individual travelers to reserve their spot in advance, we strongly recommend doing so. Those who show up at the starting point are not subject to any charge and spots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

Pre-booking gives you priority for the tour over non-reserved visitors in the rare event that a tour is overbooked, and saves you from waiting in line when you show up before the tour to a Estación México partner. However, we do require that you show up at least 10 minutes before the tour starts, otherwise we reserve the right to assign your spot to someone else. This is out of respect for all who wish to participate in the tour, as well as to ensure that the tour starts on time.

Groups (ten or more people traveling together)

Our FREE TOURS are intended for small groups and individuals. Therefore, groups of ten or more must book for the appropriate number of people online by clicking "Book Now" on our FREE TOURS page (where they will be subject to a per person rate), or contact us to schedule a private tour, which is the only way to guarantee that your group will travel together with a private guide.

SELECT TOURS

SELECT TOURS are paid tours. Your ticket and booking confirmation will be automatically emailed to you upon successful completion of your order. If you do not receive this email for any reason, please contact us at contacto@estacionmexico.com.mx, as it could mean that your order has not been processed correctly. First, please check your spam or junk mail folder.

You must print your ticket or be ready to show it on your smartphone or tablet, and present it along with a valid photo ID prior to the start of your tour. If you do not have access to a smartphone or printer, please pay at the starting point rather than booking online. While we will attempt to verify reservations for those who show up without a valid printed ticket, we are not always able to do so and therefore do not guarantee it will be possible. In this case, you will have to pay again.

Similarly, if you cannot prove your student status, or if you are not under 18 and traveling with a parent or guardian, you may be required to pay the difference between a student ticket and a regular ticket.

Your tour ticket includes your guide(s), and may include transportation costs when specifically stated. Food, beverages, incidental items, restrooms, and anything else not specifically included in the tour price are not included.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Our responsibility

We work very hard to ensure that all tours run as scheduled and have a 99% success rate. When a tour is cancelled and it is the fault of Estación México or one of the freelance guides we work with, we will refund your previously purchased ticket and also offer up to 100% of the value of the original ticket price as a credit towards the purchase of another tour as compensation. This credit cannot be used in any other way and will not be redeemable for cash.

Your request

If you are unable to attend your tour and need to cancel a reservation, notifying us at least 24 hours prior to the tour, we will cancel your ticket and give you a 50% credit of the purchase price towards the purchase of an additional future tour. We have a no refund policy unless we are responsible for the cancellation of your tour.

Force majeure

We are not responsible if we are unable to offer a tour due to force majeure (tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanic dust clouds, extreme weather, etc.).

VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION

Participation in a Estación México tour is strictly voluntary, and both your freelance guide and Estación México reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone for any reason at any time.

As in all human activities, there is a level of risk. We make every effort to minimize that risk. Estación México, its contractors, parent and subsidiary companies, partners and employees assume no responsibility for any injury, loss, damage or inconvenience suffered by any person using its services, nor for the property of such persons.

PRIVACY

Estación México will never sell your personal information to third parties. We reserve the right to use the data you provide for marketing and research purposes.
